How Often Do I Need to See the Dentist?
You should schedule a dental checkup and cleaning every six months to prevent plaque and tartar buildup. This also allows us to intervene early so that existing dental problems can be treated more easily.
Are Cavities in Baby Teeth a Problem?
Even though baby teeth will be lost eventually, they can still cause severe pain if they develop cavities. The decay could also spread to other teeth, including the permanent teeth still developing beneath the gums. Thus, cavities need to be treated at any age, so make an appointment for your little one as soon as possible.
Is a Toothache an Emergency?
If the pain isn’t severe or goes away in less than two days, it may not be a serious issue. Also, sometimes the discomfort is simply a side effect of something caught in your smile. That said, if a toothache is severe, persistent, and/or doesn’t have a visibly obvious cause, you should seek emergency treatment as soon as possible; you may need a filling or a root canal.
Do I Need to Replace a Missing Tooth?
Yes, you should replace a missing tooth as soon as possible so that it doesn’t take a toll on your oral health or your quality of life. A traditional bridge can be used to replace a single tooth or a certain number of consecutive teeth. Dentures can be used for more extensive tooth loss, and dental implants allow you to replace any number of teeth.
How Can I Improve Dull or Stained Teeth?
Intrinsic and extrinsic stains can be removed with a professional-grade teeth whitening kit. Our kits come with custom-made trays so that you can stay comfortable while brightening your teeth in the comfort of your own home. If there’s discoloration that a whitening kit can’t treat, we may be able to cover it up with veneers instead.
Do You Offer Same-Day Appointments?
We offer 24/7 emergency access for our current patients. If you suffer from a broken or knocked out tooth, or if you start to experience severe dental pain, call our dental office at any time, and we’ll make arrangements to see you right away.
Do You Take Dental Insurance?
As a fee for service dental office, we are not in-network with any insurance companies, but you can still use your dental insurance to lower your out-of-pocket costs. Call our dental office with your policy information so that we can confirm that we take your plan.
